Kamen Rider Fourze 20 – The Magnetism of Youth

IMMA FIRE MA LAZER!!

With the NS Magphone flying away from Fourze and him losing Kengo's trust, what will the Kamen Rider Club do now? In addition, can Ryusei handle the stress of the situation of likely fighting the Dragon Zodiarts without the assistance of the Kamen Rider Club or even just plain Fourze?

But before talking about it, let's talk about one of the most ignored groups in most Kamen Rider shows that are not Kuuga or Agito, namely the police. After their appearance at the last episode of the Hound Zodiarts arc, we never heard about these guys... until recently that is. Turns out that they are doing their job and is will investigate the AGHS grounds once they have the permission of the school principal! Considering that the principal is with the bad guys, it is unlikely that he will grant permission for investigation. It will make a good side plot for the series but nope, Chairman Gamou decided to do some Jedi mind trick or Geass or whatever you like to call it. The fact that cops still exist to protect the city where Fourze lives is still something if you think about it... unlike some Rider shows that ignored the existence of the police.

Now back to the Kamen Rider Club, it is one of the fine moments were you can see how Miu performs as the president of the club. Just like she said in the episode were she declared that she is the club president, her job is to facilitate the club and not do most of the dirty work. But in this case, she is part of group who is searching for the Magphone. More on Miu's leadership in this episode, you can pretty much say that she is the understanding type of leader. She noticed that Gentaro is having problems with searching the phone since he is much more concerned with how Kengo thinks about him since he doesn't need Gentaro's help during the moment when Kengo needed help.

More on Miu's team, I just love that they were able to put on full use of Tomoko's psychic abilities... which is awesome as she scares her teammates of because of her search methods. But the biggest surprise in Miu's team is Holwankov, the Foodroid that was introduced in the previous episode. At first I thought that he is as useless as Hulashake but nope, it turns out that he is more useful than that penguin robot shake. To be honest, I was expecting that it can only dig small holes or something, but nope, this robot proved me wrong. Seriously, he was able to dig a hole faster than Miu, JK and Tomoko!

As for the other team, Yuki's team, they didn't do much. Shun was just standing there while Yuki did her best and yet she failed. But as for Ryusei, after seeing how Kengo acted in his refusal for the club, he suddenly remembers his relationship with Jiro in regards on how he ended up in a coma. It was a great comparison between two similar situations but what I like about it is how Ryusei approached Kengo again with a comparison with a different situation, which is a magnet. What I like about it is that it summarizes the relationship between Gentaro and Kengo. The two are like magnets; in this case, both of them cared for each other that in Gentaro's case, he asked Ryusei to do some Switch development because he cares for Kengo's heath. In Kengo's case, he cares for Gentaro's still living after he fights a Zodiarts.

Now to the Zodiarts, the identity of the Zodiarts is Jin Nomoto the captain of the track and field team. To be honest, I was expecting Rumi to be the Zodiarts because on how she left in the previous episode, but nope, it turned out to be just another red herring. I love it. Hopefully, they will pull more red herrings in the future since it is one of the best things about this show at this moment. More on Jin, I find him quite dumb because when he was searching for Meteor, he clearly saw that Meteor is with Shun, Kengo, Yuki and Rumi but when he transformed in front of them, he thinks that Shun is Kamen Rider Meteor!

No wonder this guy didn't evolve at the end of the episode. More on Meteor in this episode, he starts to become more cooperative with Fourze... which is weird in my opinion since in his debut arc, he just helped Fourze not because he wants to help him but because of his own personal agenda. The fact that he asks Fourze to do a double Limit Break with him is weird to be honest. What's more is him using the Elek Switch by asking it and not by grabbing it from him.

As for Meteor with the Elek Switch attributes, it was amazing; I just love that it didn't gave Meteor some module but it only improved Meteor's fighting style now that his attacks now have electric attributes in it. What more if uses the Fire Switch, what would be the result? Now on Fourze Magnet States, when I first saw the initial images of this form, I find it ugly at first. When I first saw the suit in action, I was amazed with it. Granted it had limited movement but that's what makes the form looked amazing. It is like some slow tank with superior fire power! What's more is that the suit looks amazing. The amount of silver in the form add up to the space look of the form which reminded me of those old cosmonaut suits... and the Guntank in Mobile Suit Gundam.

As for its moves, I just love that the gun turrets in the suits has two uses, it is a gun turret and at the same time, a giant electromagnet. As for the electromagnet part, its repelling and attracting capabilities are quite strong. As for how Fourze controls it with the Magphones, I still find it funny that he uses a broken phone as joystick. I am still not open with the idea of having your phone as a joystick for a strong electromagnet. Again, whatever works I guess in terms of toys and function. Now for its finisher, the Rider Railgun Bomber (or Rider Super Electromagnetic Bomber if you are still watching the TVN ones), it was a bit disappointing since he performs the finisher once the two ends of the gun turrets combined and transform into a giant electro magnet. But as for how it was executed, it was good. I just love that the enemy was compressed and that its compression will cause the explosion. It was neat and is something that I rarely see in the franchise.
